De Dietrich Process Systems uses this technology for alcohols, solvents, aromas and odours separation which are present in a stream as a mixture. The main principle of separation is through physical separation, the difference in size between water and other molecules such as solvent or alcohols. The membranes are tailor made and can operate as an independent unit from the rest of the process or as a hybrid system combined with thermal separation.
