De Dietrich Process Systems offsets its carbon emissions linked to the transport of its equipment.
Now more than ever, we must be aware of our environmental impact and work to reduce it. This paradigm shift implies structural changes in our manufacturing processes and in our supply chains, which we are working hard to implement.
The transportation of the equipment manufactured by the De Dietrich Process Systems group represents a significant part of our CO2 emissions. For some years now, we have set ourselves ambitious CSR objectives in the service of a responsible strategy. Therefore, as part of our CSR strategy, we have decided to offset our carbon footprint related to the transport of our equipment by working with Climate Seed. In this way, we support reliable projects that preserve the planet, biodiversity and support local communities in South East Asia and Africa.
In Congo-Brazzaville and Burma, we participate in the distribution of stoves that consume less natural resources (wood), emit less greenhouse gases and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants by reducing their exposure to harmful fumes. According to the World Health Organization, 4.3 million people die each year from inhaling smoke from stoves in developing countries.
Climate Seed, a company created by the BNP Paribas Group and Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Yunus, provides us with powerful digital tools to measure, track, trace and secure our climate contributions to these environmentally responsible projects.
By investing in these projects, we are affirming and concretizing our desire to act in favor of environmental protection and to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Faced with the climate emergency, it is our duty, as well as that of our suppliers and customers, to take concrete action to preserve our planet.
This action responds to the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
